Meet the Advisers
With the help from the numerous teachers and community members who have volunteered their time during free periods, after school, and over weekends our students have achieved things that others can only dream about.
Sahr Bundor
Electric Vehicle - Director
Sahr Bundor has been an adviser for the past 4 years. Within those 4 years, he has traveled to the Shell Eco Marathon competitions located in Detroit, MI and London, England. Mr. Bundor will be the lead adviser on the modifications for the electric urban concept vehicle.
Ryan Roraback
Diesel Vehicle - Director
Ryan Roraback has been an adviser for the past 4 years. Within those 4 years, he helped create the first diesel prototype and has directed the fabrication of the 3 consecutive vehicles that spawned from the original. Mr. Roraback has attended the Shell Eco Marathon for the past 3 years.
Eric Czarnecki
Fabrication Director
Eric Czarnecki is the Welding Teacher at Newburgh Free Academy. Mr. Czarnecki has been an adviser for the CVRT for the past 2 years. Within those 2 years, he taught students fabrication and welding skills that built and modified both the diesel and electric vehicles
Bjorne Hansen
Diesel Vehicle - Assistant Director
Bjorne Hansen is the Electronics Teacher at Newburgh Free Academy. This is Mr. Hansen's first official year as an adviser for the CVRT. He will be helping Mr. Roraback in the construction of the diesel urban concept vehicle for the 2018 Shell Eco Marathon.
Frank Wolf
Electric Vehicle - Assistant Director
Frank Wolf is a retired technology teacher from Newburgh Free Academy. Mr. Wolf has been a member of the CVRT for the past 15 years! He brings the knowledge and experience to the team that is truly priceless. He will be assisting Mr. Bundor this year in the modifications of the electric vehicle
Arielle Polakos
Fundraising Director
Arielle Polakos is a chemistry teacher at Newburgh Free Academy. This is Ms. Polakos' 2nd year as an adviser for the CVRT. Ms. Polakos is helping forge the way in fundraising by assisting students in the writing of grants and setting up fundraisers at local establishments.
Guy Du Quesnay
Public Relations Director
Guy Du Quesnay is the Video Production teacher at Newburgh Free Academy. Mr. Du Quesnay will be an official adviser this year after attending the Shell Eco Marathon in 2017. Mr. Du Quesnay will be directing the writing and publication of all advertisements for the CVRT
