Technical Inspection

The most challenging aspect of the competition is the technical inspection of the vehicles. Every vehicle has to go through numerous stations, where judges go over every design feature of the vehicle. If there is something that violates a rule or is deemed unsafe, the team must go back to their paddock and fix this problem. Once it is fixed the judges review the solution and if it meets their standards it then passes. Once every inspection station is passed then the vehicle can participate in the race. Often times, teams do not pass the technical inspection and never get to race.
